waving to god

Today is July 2nd. While seated in a waiting room, I noticed a little 2 year old sitting on his mom's lap. He wore plaid pants and a white shirt and he was munching on a pacifier. At first I thought: "That must be the mom and I bet the teenager on her right is her daughter. I had an ugly thought about their being too many blacks in the world as the latest stats say the white race had a negative dip this year and in the next 20 years the white race will be a minority." Anyway the little boy with black kinky hair jumped off his mommy's lap and waddled around the waiting room and into the buisness office as the mom ran after him. I sighed and all of a sudden found my self speaking up to the mom: "He is so adorable." After speaking these words something shifted in me as I watched the little guy run here and there. As they wizzed by me, the mom and her little guy in the plaid shorts, sporting a pacifier, I said to her: "It's like looking into the eyes of god." That expression sums up how I feel about all children and now the mom had her little guy in her arms and she turned to walk out. The little guy looked at me (he was sitting on her hip) and I looked back with my big toothy smile and that little guy started blowing me kisses. My eyes welled up as I waved bye,bye and they exited!
